BMW K1200RS
Generally speaking, BMW stick to a voluntary 100hp limit on their Motorcycles, which complies to the laws in Germany. With the K1200RS however, they cast those limits aside, increasing engine size to 1171cc, and claiming 130bhp. It was the first Beemer to come with RAM air induction, a cast aluminum frame and a six speed gearbox. At rest, the bike seemed somewhat cumbersome, mostly because of its considerable bulk. Once underway, however, the machine performed up to BMW's usual standards, and beyond. With its paralever rear suspension, and telelever front, and with adjustable riding position, the Beemer could suit many shapes and sizes.

Power in 1997 was 110.5bhp@8500rpm, with torque of 77.6@7000. Wet weight was 646lb's.
