Ducati ST2
The Ducati ST2 was greeted with some bewilderment in the beginning, and seemed a slight departure from Ducati's sport-bike heritage. The press however, soon fell in love with it. The ST2 utilized the 900SS as its base, but the design team completely reworked it to suit the demands of sport-touring. Handling was first rate, and the engine could grunt from 2500rpm upwards. The brakes come from Brembo, and are also first rate.

Even after the introduction of the ST4, many of the press still preferred the perfect balance of the ST2.

Power in 1997 was 74.2bhp, with torque of 54.8ft/lb's. Wet weight was 515lb's.
