YAMAHA RZ350
The RZ350 represented the end of an era for road going two strokes. Decked out in its beautiful Kenny Roberts inspired bodywork, the RZ was not only good looking, but an incredible ride. Compared with the four stroke competition, the RZ was light and fast. Compared with the Honda VF500 Interceptor, the RZ was a massive 66 pounds lighter. On a smooth road, the suspension could be firmed up to offer maximum cornering clearance. On bumpy roads the suspension was a bit of a compromise, but even on freeways the RZ equipped itself quite well. The RZ350 was Yamaha's swansong in the two stroke class. In Europe of course, it continued in production, but for the US market it was the end of the line. Power1984 was 52bhp@8750rpm, with torque of 30.4ft/lb's@7500rpm. Wet weight was 371lb's.
